Hereby Axiom Insurance Company AD (Axiom IC, the Company) provide information on how the personal data provided by you is collected and processed.

Axiom IC processes your data for the purpose of offering, concluding and administering insurance contracts, processing of an insurance claim, your inquiries, complaints, requests or other legitimate purposes.

General Information

Axiom Insurance Company AD, UIC 131039664, as personal data controller, hereby  collect and process personal data in compliance with the requirements of Article 12-14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals about the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the Personal Data Protection Act and the Data Protection Policies of Axiom Insurance Company AD.

Who collects and processes your data?

What personal data do we process?

  • First name, surname, and last name;
  • ID number, number of ID card/another identity document;
  • Citizenship;
  • Email and phone number;
  • Address: permanent or current;
  • Bank information: bank account number, card number, and CVV code (in case of online payment of policy installment);
  • Policy number/damage number, customer number, and health insurance card number;
  • Other data related to the subject matter of the insurance contract – information regarding professional experience, position, ownership and others;or or for servicing any other request or enquiry from you;
  • Information about your health in the form of completed questionnaires and proposals, diagnoses, epicrises, and other health status documents provided for the purpose of insurance contracting or processing an insurance claim;
  • Video surveillance from security cameras installed in the Company's office.
  • Personal data contained in cookies when using online services in accordance with the stated Cookie Policy.

On what legal basis do we process your personal data?

The processing of your data is necessary for the conclusion and execution of an insurance contract between both parties – the Insurer and you as insured person.

The Company limits the processing of your health data only within the framework of the stipulated legal purposes and conditions, including to establish the validity of an insurance claim, for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims and based on the provisions of the Insurance Code, which constitute an additional condition for lawful processing within the meaning of Art. 9, Par. 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU)2016/679. Axiom IC processes your health data for the purposes of preparing a proposal for an insurance contract, such as health insurance and accident insurance, based on Your express consent. If necessary, we exchange your data with service providers on the basis of the legitimate interest of Axiom IC to fulfill its obligations as an Insurer and to increase the quality of the services provided, as well as when carrying out checks and requiring information on legal grounds by state and municipal bodies (investigation, prosecutor's office, court, FSC, NRA, NOI, Ministry of Interior, CPDP, etc.).

For what purposes do we collect and process your personal data?

The personal data provided by you will be used for the purposes of administering the insurance relationship, namely:

  • Preparation of an individual insurance proposal;
  • Application for an offer;
  • Issuing an invoice;
  • Certifying the validity of a policy;
  • Reissuing a document;
  • Termination and cancellation of contractual relations;
  • Issuing a certificate;
  • Negotiating additional information on the contract;
  • Payment of insurance premium;
  • Registering and processing claims concerning an insurance event and paying compensation upon damage liquidation;
  • Prevention of insurance fraud or other crimes;
  • Risk assessment;
  • Compliance with legislative requirements, including but not limited to avoiding conflicts of interest, corrupt practices, and obligations under the Insurance Code and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.


Please note that your personal data may be subject to profiling by information processing systems while preparing offers for specific insurances. Depending on the specifics of the particular type of insurance, Axiom IC may use information systems to calculate the likelihood of an insurance event. The information systems work based on preset criteria developed by actuaries. Your personal data is profiled on the basis of Axiom IC's legitimate interest to assess the risk and undertake contractual obligations in accordance with the risk assessment provided. You may object to the profiling of your personal data. Who we share your personal data with?

Axiom IC respects and protects the confidentiality of your personal data. Only in the presence of a valid reason and in compliance with the mandatory provisions of the regulatory framework, it is possible to disclose your personal data to the following persons:

  • Other insurers, co-insurers/reinsurers;
  • Insurance intermediaries/brokers and banks;
  • Public bodies (state and municipal bodies), ombudsman;
  • Service providers;
  • Reinsurers, reinsurance brokers and their representatives.

How do we store and protect your data?

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed by applying the necessary administrative, technical and physical measures.

For how long do we keep your personal data?

Axiom IC shall keep the personal data provided by you for as long as is necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected, including in order to perform our contractual and legal obligations for a period not shorter than the regulatory or statutory periods for storing information or the statute of limitations for presenting claims under the insurance contracts concluded with the Company.

Your rights regarding your personal data

You may, at any moment, request from Axiom IC the right to access your personal data. In addition, you also have the right to change or remove this data, as well as the right to object to the use of your data, based on a legal motivation. You also have the right where processing is based on your consent, to withdraw that consent at any time.

  • to have access to your personal data processed by Axiom IC and obtain a copy of it;
  • to have your personal data corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • to request that your personal data be erased when the pertaining conditions are met;
  • to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted in the cases specified by law;
  • to object to the processing of your personal data, in the cases specified by law;
  • to exercise your right to data portability and to request that your data be provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
