With Trip Cancellation insurance, you can plan your trip with a peace of mind. The coverage will reimburse you for the amount of pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses (e.g. airline, hotel or other tourist services, etc.) that you have insured, should you cancel your trip before departure for an unforeseen covered medical or non-medical reasons beyond your control.
Note: The insurance should be taken out within 7 days after the day of conclusion of the contract for a tourist trip, purchase of an air plane ticket or hotel reservation and only in case initial trip payment has been made (partial or full) and within no more than 10 days before the start date of the trip. If these conditions are not met, the policy is considered invalid.
The insurance is intended for non-EU individuals who apply for a Schengen visa for the entire period of their stay in Europe, whether the purpose of the trip is for work, tourism, study or other reasons, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 of the European Parliament. The Member States of the Schengen area for which coverage is valid are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria (by air and sea), Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania (by air and sea), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
The minimum sum insured amounts to EUR 30 000 or, at the Policyholder's/Insured's preference, with a higher limit of liability amounting to EUR 50 000.
